About the edit

Born from an idea formulated at 3am sitting on my daughter's bedroom floor while she needed comforting back to sleep, and ruminating over my styling clients constant desire to find pieces that just seamless slot into their wardrobe - the edit is a culmination of over 20 years experience understanding what women want in their everyday wardrobe.

Statement staples: The seven pieces have been carefully and thoughtfully designed to not only work back together, to create the ultimate capsule, but to also seamlessly integrate into your existing wardrobe, no matter your age, shape, size or personal style.

No boring basics here: I wanted every piece in the edit to be one step up from those 'wardrobe basics' that we're always told should be our 'capsule'. Hence my designs should add a little 'wow' to your everyday wardrobe, without overpowering or dictating your individual sense of style.

Oh, and for the record, you probably won't ever find any black in the edit collections, it's the Queenslander in me wanting and needing to highlight colours and prints!

the edit is proudly made in New Zealand by a team of talented and experienced women and works on a pre-order model to keep the prices more affordable for you, and the brand more sustainable for the future.

About the founder

Caitlin Taylor is a renowned personal stylist with over 20 years experience in the fashion industy.

She runs her personal styling business based out of Auckland, New Zealand, but is a born and bred Aussie.

Cait's styling business has led her to work with hundreds of women over the years, and has given her an intimate knowledge of not only what is missing from their wardrobes, but also how to best fill those gaps.

the edit is Cait's first foray into designing her own collection. She wanted to keep the edit simple, clean and easy to wear, and by adding unique style guides to each piece, you're getting a little bit of expert advice with each purchase too.
